Tabou TMF wins Television Production Award for Undefinable Vision TV

The 20th Annual BronxNet BETA AwardsOn Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 at The Lovinger Theatre in The Bronx, New York, Tabou TMF won a Television production award for Undefinable Vision. Nominated in multiple categories he received the “Best Entertainment/Variety/Performing Arts” program award at the 20th Annual Bronxnet BETA Awards.

This is the third consecutive win for Tabou as Executive Producer of Undefinable Vision TV previously winning awards for “Best Program Series” in 2015 and
  “Best Music Program” in 2014. The 2016 BETA Awards theme was focused on “Celebrating the Cinematic Heritage of The Bronx. Past, Present and Future”

The event was hosted by critically acclaimed poet Mariposa Fernandez and featured live music by the legendary Danny Mixon Trio. There were performances of poetry, dance and an excellent tribute celebrating the life of Dr. Roscoe C. Brown Tuskegee Airman and American hero who passed away on July 2, 2016.

Dr. Brown was famous for his skillful piloting of military aircraft’s during World War II. He was also a pioneering educator at Bronx Community College for 17 years and one of the earliest BronxNet board members who was very instrumental in shaping BronxNet as some of his friends and colleagues mentioned at the award ceremony.

In attendance were many distinguished professional Television and Film producers, journalists, reporters and media creators as well as public service professionals, clergy, local community leaders and family members. It was a great evening filled with diversity and interesting learning experiences. BronxNet thanked the supporters who helped make the event possible including: Silver Cup Studios, Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Metro Optics Eye Wear, Affinity Health Plan, Bronx Community College and many more… Tabou’s said his favorite part of the night other than winning was “discovering more about the history of cinema in The Bronx with Thomas Edison’s Motion Picture Studio which was located on Decatur Avenue.”
