Today’s Turntable Tuesday selection from my personal vinyl collection is Hey Mr. D.J. by Zhane (pronounced ja-nay). The dynamic duo consisting of the beautiful and talented Renee Neufville and Jean Baylor reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 charts landing at No. 6 in the U.S. It’s still an all time favorite party anthem guaranteed to get you moving and dancing. This 12-inch single was released in 1993 with the original versions from Queen Latifah‘s Flavor Unit album titled Roll Wit The Flava.Today’s featured groove is Maurice’s club mix which was rehoused by Maurice Joshua and features additional vocals by Meechie Faire.
