Edge of Tomorrow is way more than a great movie title starring Tom Cruise & Emily Blunt “Live, Die, Repeat” can be considered an awesome mantra for going forward and living a great life full of learning, determination and perseverance.
As we all know… “we do not know what tomorrow may bring.” Yet some things we do know for sure, like if you “fail” at something in life you have two main options, give up or try again. Personally I like the latter option for having another chance is a blessing in itself, even if you “succeed” at something. Especially if you enjoyed it, doing it again can be awesome… You know “The Second Time Around” well its no secret I’m also a DJ that’s loves great music, so that Shalamar song form the Big Fun album is playing in my head right now !
Besides all that … Edge of Tomorrow is a great movie. Tom Cruise does it again alongside Emily Blunt who according to Helena de Bertodano a reporter from The Telegraph a UK paper said Emily once stated she “would rather do badly paid theatre for the rest of her life than ever accept a role “as a spear carrier in a Tom Cruise movie.” Well if you didn’t believe before, I guess that’s living proof of we never know what tomorrow will bring. Myself I’m glad she made this movie. The on screen chemistry in the paring is perfect. Not only is this movie action packed, what I loved most is it fun, hilarious and a great story. Kudos to Hiroshi Sakurazaka and the director Doug Liman also of The Bourne Identity & Mr & Mrs Smith.
I got a chance to see it at the New York premiere on may 28th 2014 with Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and others present during their Global Premiere marathon. Three in one day! Now that’s putting in work. London, Paris and New York as Tom said when he arrived in the AMC Loews Theatre at Lincoln Square “We saved the best for last.”
It was an awesome experience and I’m looking forward to seeing it again and again. Check it out and let me know what’s your favorite part ? Comment below !
